We are looking for the right candidate to fill a Junior-level role for Internship User Experience (UX) Designer that could lead to a full career path for the right candidates. Since business needs can come to engineering in many guises, the UX Intern would work under the direct direction of our Product Design Lead, assisting with the day-to-day delivery execution of cross portfolio UX needs. The UX intern is additionally expected to work with development and QA teams within the Zagreb office.
The UX internship role provides an opportunity for a well-organised and proactive individual to work in a fast-paced, cutting-edge security company as a way to gain experience or – for the right candidates – to establish a career in the field. In the short term, gaining experience and learning about our business will entail a lot of note-taking and tracking of actions and owners while learning about our business and technology.
Typical Work Day Activities
- Morning status report (Stand up)
- Review previous day’s action items
- Review previous day’s deliverables
- Prioritize and set tasks for current day (Team Manager Guidance)
- User research review
- Wireframing review
- Workflow roughs review
- UI/UXd design review
- Action items set
- Attend user interviews (Note taking)
- Refine requirements (working with PM/POs understanding stories)
- Attend daily core UX meetings (Note taking)
Candidate Responsibilities
We will assess the actual responsibilities and assignments based on the skills of individuals and the discussion with your local Internship Manager. However, as a guide for day-to-day responsibilities, you will be expected to:
- 20 hours a week work, flexible scheduling
- Attend daily stand-up and planning meetings as necessary
- Take detailed notes and actions in attendance
- Work with the head of Design and PM to absorb your work into our various functions and departments
- Be punctual, professional and respectful
Requirements
