Otvoren je natječaj Ericsson Innovation Awards 2018 na kojeg se mogu prijaviti studentski timovi iz cijelog svijeta. Tema ovogodišnjeg natjecanja je The Future of Truth: How will we find, validate and share truth in the age of ICT?
Prijave su otvorene do 15. studenog 2017., a zainteresirani studentski timovi mogu se prijaviti putem ove poveznice. Timovima koji se prijave pruža se prilika da otputuju u Stockholm, dobiju potporu Ericssonovih eksperata u razradi svoje ideje i osvoje glavnu nagradu u iznosu od €25,000.
Ovogodišnja tema predstavlja interdisciplinarno područje koje ima jaku sociološku komponentu, a također može proizvesti veliki društveni utjecaj i promjene u društvu. Potiče se formiranje interdisciplinarnih studentskih timova, gdje bi uz studente s jakim kompetencijama iz domene informacijskih i komunikacijskih tehnologija bilo preporučljivo uključiti i studente iz područja društvenih znanosti, poput novinarstva, sociologije, psihologije, prava, političkih znanosti i sl. Sama ideja može sadržavati snažnu orijentaciju na tehnološku komponentu rješenja, ali su dobrodošli svi prijedlozi, od novih temeljnih ideja i koncepata pa do inovativnih načina uporabe tehnologije. Neki od primjera tema koje se uklapaju u ovogodišnje područje su pretraživanje i obrada vijesti iz javno dostupnih izvora, njihova provjera i usporedba s relevantnim referentnim izvorima informacija, pitanja digitalnog identiteta i vjerodostojnosti u digitalnom svijetu i sl.
Ekipama koje se prijave ili imaju potrebu za dodatnim konzultacijama prije prijave na raspolaganju stoje stručnjaci iz tvrtke Ericsson Nikola Tesla, a mogu im se slobodno obratiti putem e-maila darko.huljenic@ericsson.com.

How will you influence the future of truth?
Every day, more than 2 million articles are published online and 500 million tweets are posted. Information communication technology allows us to consume and share information at an incredible rate, and even delve into alternate forms of reality. But, as we use that information to inform our personal belief systems, decision making, purchases and actions, we must consider whether or not it is actually true – and, how can we know that it’s true?
Ericsson’s introduction of 5G will allow us to connect to people, industries, societies and ideas faster than ever before. But how can we ensure that the information we find, share and consume is factual? What standards are we using? How can those we are sharing with evaluate information for themselves?
This is where you come in. For the Ericsson Innovation Awards 2018, you must answer the question: how can technology improve the way we find, validate and share truth? What new forms of reality, experience, social sharing and information validation can we build to help us in this important endeavour?
