Job Description
The Technical Documentation Coordinator composes clear and coherent technical and process information, discuss commercial and industrial products and services, write instruction manuals for users and staff, possess a complete understanding of a company’s products, services, and applications. She/he develops a keen understanding of the audience and the documentation required by meeting with colleagues and working with managers to discuss technical descriptions or instructions.
Responsibilities and Tasks
The person performing this role settles clearest and most logical way to present information and instructions for the greatest reader comprehension and writes and edits technical information accordingly.
As a Technical Documentation Coordinator, you will guide and instruct all affected employees to provide technical or process information in a structured layout.
Technical Tasks
- Good knowledge about IT Systems and environments as well as in technical descriptions and instructions
- Revises, edits, or updates instructions, technical information, and frequently asked questions as necessary
- Meets with subject matter experts in order to ensure that specialized topics are appropriately addressed and discussed
- Collaborates with translators as necessary to convert writing into a variety of languages
- Excellent documentation capabilities by developing
- Operational Manuals
- Working Instructions
- Process Handbooks / Descriptions
Non-Technical Tasks
- Capability to manage/oversee complex information and applying sinful documentation indices and structures
- Organizational skills
- ITIL Foundation (2011 or V3)
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Technical skills:
- IT and process fundamentals (Server, Storage, Network, SAN, Operating System, virtualization)
- Process Fundamentals according to ITIL
- IT Experience 3 – 5 Years
- ITIL foundation
- Ability to write technical Documentation
- Ability to plan and construct Documentation lifecycles
General skills
- Fluent German and English in speaking and writing
- Good Team player
- Very good knowledge of office tools
Other requirements
- Ability to travel: during Project up to 1 day per week, during Transition (3 to 4 Months) up to 5 days a week
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
Experience in a similar position is an advantage.
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree
