Gideon Brothers develops autonomous, collaborative and modular robot platforms and autonomy technologies for unstructured, indoor, human environments. Our robots are designed to assist operations in various industries. In our offices in Zagreb and Osijek, we have gathered a team of 90+ super-talented people, including ten PhDs and 45+ Masters of robotics hardware and software engineering and related disciplines.
We are looking for our first System Administrator to ensure a seamless flow of IT services and an associated multiuser environment. The position is for our Zagreb offices. Are you passionate about servers and network systems and are open to new technologies? Say no more and apply!
Responsibilities:
- installing, configuring and maintaining servers including file and simulation servers (We are a big fan of Linux and mostly operate with it),
- maintaining, configuring, and deploying workstations for new users,
- overseeing system performance and troubleshooting issues,
- creating backups and safeguarding the data (TrueNAS),
- performing system upgrades,
- researching and integrating new technologies and solutions into the existing system,
- providing IT office support for all new Gideon Brothers people when needed,
- Jira administration.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role,
- good knowledge in troubleshooting the Linux operating system (experience with Windows server administration is a plus),
- experience with maintaining, configuring, and deploying network equipment,
- experience with configuring and maintaining VPNs,
- experience with different network security systems. We use Fortinet firewall system,
- knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery,
- you are open to research and integrate new technologies, as well as suggest improvements of the existing system,
- you are curious about what’s under the hood and enjoy solving problems,
- you enjoy working in cross-functional teams.
