CAD to Quote is a startup from Edinburgh developing automated quotation software for additive manufacturing like 3D printing and CNC manufacturing. We are offering remote positions for students with flexible working hours (expected workload of +15 working hours per week).
You will be responsible for helping design and develop the RESTful API that will be deployed to Google Cloud Endpoints which uses OpenAPI specification. You will be implementing the backend that is running on Google Cloud App Engine and Cloud Run and interacts with other Google Cloud services like Firestore, Cloud Storage, and identity/authentication/credentials APIs. You will as well be responsible for packing binaries and parsing their input and output in docker containers in Cloud Run.
Required skills:
- Knowledge of JavaScript programming language and Node.js runtime,
- Familiarity with OpenAPI specification,
- Familiarity with Google Cloud platform,
- Familiarity with Docker containers.
