Hello! My name is Antea and I graduated from FER quite a few years ago. Unlike many of my classmates, I didn’t enrol in FER because I fell in love with programming in high school. In fact, I went to a classical gymnasium where the emphasis was on humanistic subjects and my interests lay in an unusual combination of philosophy, logic, and mathematics. At the urging of my physics professor (thanks professor!), I ended up at FER and although it was quite a challenge to grasp new concepts after all those Latin and Greek lessons, FER was actually a great choice. At the end of the day, perhaps programming is a kind of philosophy? 🙂
My name is Andrea and I enrolled in FER because I fell in love with programming back when we only learned about it at the level of flowcharts in high school. For my totally analytical, introverted side, FER was a perfect choice. However, as my career progressed, my creative side awakened more and more, and I enjoyed working with people. Hi, I’m Kristina and I’m still not fully aware that I’m not a student anymore. At FER, I actually had little experience with “electricity” because I often chose courses that had to do with computing and later with nuclear safety, which is why I enrolled in FER. During my studies, I volunteered at BEST, participated in 2 summer internships organised by the Career Centre, worked in 2 electrical engineering companies, and, what I like the most, helped to set up the FER esports section, which I now occasionally advise. In addition to a CV, it’s often necessary to include a cover letter in a job application. Even when it’s not mandatory, a cover letter gives you the opportunity to highlight your knowledge and skills that make you the best candidate for the job you want.
Although you are well aware of that, writing a cover letter probably still reminds you of writing a high school assignment, and a blank Word page takes you back to those moments when you sweated in the back row of the classroom before turning in a half-empty page that you tried to expand with just two more sentences.
Luckily, preparation is half the battle on the way to a well-structured cover letter, one that doesn’t resemble Albert Camus’ stream of consciousness. For good preparation, we recommend these 5 simple steps.

Hi, I’m Bruno and until very recently I was sitting in the same auditoriums as you, I submitted lab assignments at the very last moment and at 16h I was in KSET to get my coffee and some soft drink.
