Our young but experienced team in Zagreb is part of electrification business in the automotive sector (battery cell testing). We design converters using cutting edge transistor technologies (SiC, GaN).
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Building test setups and executing tests on power converters (setup of DVMs, oscilloscopes, sources, loads & cabling)
• Planning and executing test plans together with senior PE engineers
• Analysis of results, drawing conclusions on system performance and feedback to HW/SW developers
• Simulation of PE hardware, measurement circuits & control in LT Spice and Plecs in coordination with seniors
• Assembling of prototypes, insertion of temperature, current & voltage probes
• Configuring automation and acquisition system for long measurements (AVL Puma)
• Thermal considerations and converter cooling system characterization according to predefined plans & industry norms
• Verification of device functionalities in simulation & laboratory
• Signal postprocessing, documenting results and presenting to team members
• Cooperation with production in AVL (mainly Graz, Austria) and external suppliers
• Execution of AVL development and project management guidelines
• Collaboration with local development partners (University, suppliers)
• Participation in project planning (Agile Scrum)
• Deep dive into commutation cell (DC link caps, transistors & gate drivers)
YOUR PROFILE:
• Bachelor / Master degree (Polytechnical-/University) in the field of electrical engineering
• Basic understanding of power electronics modules and systems (topologies)
• Knowledge in simulation of electronic circuits in Spice/Plecs/Matlab/Simulink
• PCBA development and CAD tools (Altium Nexus) is a bonus
• Basic knowledge of handling devices operating with high voltages and currents
• Basic understanding of embedded real time control systems (uC, measurement chain, PWMs)
• Basic understanding of PWM modulation and control theory
• Willingness to learn and ambition for professional development
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in English, German is a bonus
